The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine decided to apply a preventive measure in the form of bail for the head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) Pavlo Kyrylenko. The amount of the pledge is 30.28 million hryvnias. Kyrylenka is suspected of illegal enrichment of over 56 million hryvnias and false declaration.
"The request to apply a preventive measure in the form of detention against Kyrylenka is granted. "Apply a preventive measure in the form of bail in the amount of UAH 30,280,000 to Pavlo Kyrilenko," the judge said.
Kyrylenka was also tasked with:
- to appear before investigators, prosecutors, the investigating judge and the court at the first request;
- not to leave Kyiv without permission;
- notify the detective, prosecutor or court about a change of residence;
- refrain from communicating with witnesses;
- to deposit with the relevant state authorities your passport(s) for traveling abroad, other documents giving the right to leave Ukraine and enter Ukraine;
- wear an electronic bracelet.
The SAP emphasizes that the prosecutor does not agree with the specified court decision and will appeal it in the appeal procedure to the Appeals Chamber of the VAKS.
The head of the Antimonopoly Committee, Pavlo Kyrylenko, is suspected of illegal enrichment of over 56 million hryvnias. The pre-trial investigation established that in 2020-2023, when Kirylenko was the head of Donetsk OVA, he became the owner of 21 real estate objects and a luxury car, and registered the ownership rights to his wife's relatives.
