A significant drop in temperature is expected in Ukraine today. At night, thermometers in some regions may drop to -17°C , and frost will also prevail during the day.
According to weather forecasters, the atmospheric front will bring snow , especially in the first half of the day. However, closer to lunch, the precipitation will gradually stop , leaving behind icy roads.

According to weather forecasters, an atmospheric front will move into the country from the north at night, causing light snowfall. However, precipitation will cease in the western and northern regions during the day as atmospheric pressure increases.
Icy conditions are forecast on the roads, and the wind will increase to 5–10 m/s, which may complicate the situation for drivers.
The air temperature at night will fluctuate within -6…-11°C, and in the Carpathians and in the east of the country, in places it is expected to drop to -17°C. During the day, -3…-8°C is forecast in most regions, in the west and south the temperature will fluctuate from -4°C to +1°C.
Weather in Kyiv and the region
It will be cloudy with clearings in the capital and Kyiv region. Light snow is possible at night, which will stop by morning. Roads will be covered with ice, so moving around the city may be difficult.
The air temperature in the region at night will be -6…-11°C, during the day - -3…-8°C. In Kyiv, -7…-9°C is expected at night, and -4…-6°C during the day.
Forecasters advise to be prepared for the cold snap, especially for residents of eastern and mountainous regions, where frosts will reach the lowest levels. Drivers should take into account the difficult weather conditions and maintain a safe speed.
We remind you that frosty weather will persist in Ukraine in the coming days, but by the end of the week, temperatures in a number of regions will begin to rise to slight “pluses.” Little precipitation is expected, but icy conditions will persist on the roads.
