MP Serhiy Kuzminykh is involved in a high-profile anti-corruption case about an attempt to obtain UAH 558,000 in illegal benefits, but formally his official income looks much more modest than the fortunes of some people from his inner circle.
According to the declaration for 2024, Kuzminykh received approximately UAH 1.5 million in official income, partially owns a family apartment, a land plot and a moped. Most of the transport he uses is registered to other persons. It is also known that the deputy's daughter became the owner of an apartment in Zhytomyr, registered as a "gift", but the sources of funds remain unknown.
Journalists and analysts note that significant wealth is concentrated among Kuzmin's drivers, assistants, and associates. Among them:
-
Maksym Tokovy, the driver of the People's Deputy, founder of LLC "Maximum EF", who in a few years increased the company's capital to over 1.5 million UAH and became the owner of a pharmacy chain.
-
Iryna Karavan, the wife of a local deputy and an assistant to the Kuzmins, who also appears in business structures related to the pharmaceutical market of the Zhytomyr region.
-
Igor Salko, lawyer, member of a number of legal entities, including OOO "Evens", which wins tenders for the renovation of medical and educational institutions.
The assets registered to the head of the Kuzmin brothers' fund and two drivers include almost 1.5 hectares of land near Lake Melkom in the Kamyansk community, which has a significantly higher market value than the officially declared assets of the people's deputy.
Serhiy Kuzminykh himself is under investigation in a case of receiving UAH 558,000 in illegal benefits for facilitating the conclusion of contracts between private companies and medical institutions in the Zhytomyr region. The case has been under consideration in the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine for several years.
