Women registered with the employment center as unemployed can count on state assistance in connection with pregnancy and childbirth. The Pension Fund of Ukraine has published details on the amount of benefits and the procedure for their processing.
Required documents
To receive assistance, you need to submit to the Pension Fund:

passport or other identity document;

identification code (if available);
-
a statement indicating the method of receiving funds (to the account or by mail);

record number in the electronic health system, which confirms the medical conclusion about pregnancy and childbirth;

certificate from the employment center about the status of unemployed;
-
certificate of a victim of the Chernobyl disaster (if available).
You can submit documents in person at the PFU service center, through the ASC or local government bodies, by mail or online - through the PFU portal, mobile application, "Diya" or social web portal (with an electronic signature).
You must apply no later than six months after the end of maternity leave.
Amount of assistance
Payments depend on the insurance experience:

3,600 UAH per month – if insurance premiums were paid for the woman;

UAH 1,500 per month – if there is no seniority or the dismissal occurred for violation of discipline.
The minimum guaranteed amount is UAH 757 per month, which is 25% of the subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons.
Duration of payments
Assistance is provided for:

126 days – standard (70 before and 56 after childbirth);
-
140 days – in case of complicated childbirth;
-
180 days – for women of categories 1–3 who suffered from the Chernobyl disaster.
The Pension Fund emphasizes: obtaining benefits is possible even without official employment if the woman is registered with the employment center.
