The wife of People's Deputy Bohdan Torokhtia received expensive gifts and made several significant purchases, which caused a public outcry. According to the People's Deputy himself, her father gave her shoes from the famous Saint Laurent brand worth 57 thousand hryvnias, as well as a set of Versace Rosenthal dishes for 62 thousand hryvnias.
Torokhtia's wife received 24 cash gifts in 2024. She also owns a large collection of diamonds, some of which have already been worn.
The family itself is actively acquiring property and transport: during the war, Bohdan Torokhtiy received a 2020 Mercedes “Kubik” for 10 thousand hryvnias, while his wife bought a similar car for 250 thousand dollars. In August 2022, she purchased an apartment in the resort town of Nessebar in Bulgaria, and a few months later - another apartment and a parking space in Pechersk in Kyiv.
These facts attract public attention, given the current economic and military conditions in the country, and raise questions about the origin of the funds for such expensive purchases.
