Oleksandr Fedorenko, who has headed the Kyivavtodor Criminal Committee since 2020, has quickly become one of the most odious figures in the capital's municipal sector. Despite officially modest incomes, his family demonstrates rapid and unjustified enrichment. Against this background, law enforcement officers have opened several criminal proceedings at once, revealing the depth of corrupt practices in the road sector of Kyiv.
In 2023, Fedorenko's official salary was UAH 1.15 million. His wife Yulia's income is over UAH 700,000, plus UAH 615,000 from the sale of a Skoda Octavia A7.
However, this is clearly not enough to explain the sharp increase in the family's assets:
-
two land plots in Gorenychy;
-
apartment in Kyiv with an area of 57.6 m²;
-
house of 89 m²;
-
new parking space.
Part of this property was not in the declarations for 2022, which indicates that it was acquired precisely during the period when Kyivavtodor's budgets increased significantly.
In 2024, Fedorenko was handed the first high-profile suspicion.
The investigation established that in 2022–2023, contractors associated with Kyivavtodor systematically overestimated the volume and cost of work, underestimated the quality of materials, and often replaced new equipment with old dismantled elements.
According to investigators:
-
almost 10 million UAH was appropriated;
-
The total amount of contracts under which contracting firms worked exceeded UAH 185 million.
This scheme has been typical for the road industry for decades, but it was under Fedorenko's leadership that it became particularly systemic.
Another episode concerns a special area for snow, to which various hazardous waste was transported in 2022–2023 under the leadership of Fedorenko and the KP "SHEU of Solomyansky District".
This led to damage to the state of almost UAH 300 million - environmental violations here were combined with corruption elements, which only worsened the official's situation.
Fedorenko had already been suspected before - for the events of 2019, when he worked at the Kyiv Region Highway Service.
At that time, he signed certificates of work performed with inaccurate data, causing the state losses of over UAH 14 million.
Criminal proceedings, suspicions, and the discrepancy between income and property form a single logical mosaic:
Fedorenko built his own "empire" against the backdrop of municipal budgets and contracting schemes.
The rapid growth of the family's assets clearly correlates with Kyivavtodor's multi-million contracts, and the investigated episodes show that the system has been operating for more than one year - it's just now begun to be dismantled piece by piece.
