The Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Herman Galushchenko, announced that Ukrainians will continue to pay for electricity at the current tariffs of 2.64 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour until the end of the heating season. He emphasized that no increase in tariffs for the population is planned during the 2023/24 heating season. The decision applies to all consumers and does not depend on the volume of electricity consumption. While the cost of housing and communal services has already increased in the country, an increase in electricity tariffs is not expected at least until the end of the heating season.
According to the State Statistics Service, over the past year, tariffs for housing and communal services have increased by an average of 13%, and electricity prices have increased by 69.7%. Despite this, the minister noted that electricity tariffs remain stable until the end of the heating season.
