In Ukraine, young men who have reached the age of 17 are required to register for military service. The procedure for registering at territorial recruitment and social support centers (TCK and SP) is not related to mobilization measures. This was stated by Dmitry Sukhyi, deputy head of the conscription department of the recruitment sector of the Kirovohrad regional TCK.
Who should register and when?
Military registration is carried out annually from January to March. For this, 17-year-old young men must apply to the relevant CCC. Local governments, enterprises, institutions, organizations and educational institutions annually submit lists of citizens subject to registration to the CCC.
Why is this important?
According to Dmitry Sukhoi, registration allows you to determine:
- degree of fitness for military service;
- educational level, specialty or profession;
- level of physical fitness;
- personal qualities of young men.
Young men who have not registered before the age of 18 may receive an administrative fine. The amount of the fine is from 17 to 25.5 thousand hryvnias.
