PrivatBank clients should be prepared for the fact that forgotten or removed cards from an ATM will not be returned. This was reported by the bank's specialists on the Ministry of Finance portal. The same approach applies to cards left in terminals.
What to do with a card removed by an ATM
If an ATM “takes” your card, it needs to be reissued. To do this, you need to contact your bank, even if the card was not issued by PrivatBank.
“Cards removed or left in ATMs or terminals are not returned. To restore the card, you need to contact the bank that issued the card,” PrivatBank explains.
How to reissue a PrivatBank card
PrivatBank cards that are expiring can be reissued in several ways:
- At the bank branch.
- Through delivery. You can order a new card with delivery within Ukraine or abroad.
- Through the mobile app. To do this, you should:
- Open the “Wallet” menu.
- Select the card you want to reissue.
- Click “Order card”.
In addition to a regular card, customers can issue an instant Digital card in the Privat24 . To do this:
- Go to the “All cards” section.
- Click “Add”.
- Select “Digital card”.
The Digital card allows you to make contactless payments via your smartphone, as well as withdraw cash at PrivatBank ATMs without using a physical card.
Bank specialists recommend that customers be careful when using ATMs to avoid unnecessary time and effort to restore the card.
Please note that ATMs and terminals do not return any cards, even if they belong to another bank. All issues regarding card recovery should be resolved exclusively through the institution that issued them.
