Some Ukrainians are eligible for a preferential tariff for electricity supply, including those who live in homes with electric heating. However, it is worth noting that the preferential tariff will not be accrued automatically.
As explained by MP Serhiy Nagornyak, to receive a preferential tariff, it is necessary to have a document for an apartment or house with a mark from the relevant services, such as BTI or private companies engaged in technical passports. This document must confirm that the facility is equipped with an electric boiler. Then, with this document, you should contact the local REM or the regional REM.
In cities with a separate service provider, such as Kyiv, you must contact them with the appropriate document so that the first 2,000 kWh per month is charged at the rate of 2.64 hryvnia. It is also important to have a document confirming the presence of electric heating and disconnection of the home from central heating.
Recall that the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 632 of May 31, 2024 established a single fixed price for electricity in Ukraine at the level of 4.32 UAH/kWh, which is 60% more than the previous tariff. The Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko confirmed that the electricity tariff will not be revised until April 30, 2025, which will ensure price stability during the autumn-winter period.
