Losing weight without stress: how the 80/20 diet method works

Indian nutritionist Archana Batra believes that the key to successful weight loss is to avoid being too strict. According to her, most diets are doomed to failure because they require you to give up your favorite foods and radically change your usual lifestyle. First, this causes stress, then breakdowns, and then complete abandonment of the diet.

To avoid this, the expert advises using the 80/20 rule. It allows you to follow a healthy diet and at the same time leave room for small pleasures. The essence is simple: 80% of the diet should consist of foods rich in proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. The remaining 20% can be reserved for pleasures - sweets, chips or even ice cream.

This approach not only helps you lose weight, but also avoids feelings of guilt or constant struggle with yourself. It forms a balanced eating system that satisfies the body's needs and allows you to stay full longer, reducing the risk of breakdowns.

According to Batra, the 80/20 method is suitable for almost anyone, as it can be adapted to different lifestyles. It is not a diet in the classical sense, but rather a nutritional system that teaches you to harmoniously combine benefits and pleasure.
