Pensioners were told how not to lose payments if they are outside Ukraine

Pensioners and recipients of insurance benefits who are temporarily outside Ukraine or living in temporarily occupied territories must undergo physical identification by December 31. This is necessary to continue payments in 2026.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine emphasizes that failure to undergo physical identification during a calendar year is not a basis for canceling the decision to assign a pension or insurance payment.

If the payment is temporarily suspended due to failure to complete the identification procedure by December 31, 2025, it will be automatically resumed after the identification procedure is completed.

You can check whether you have passed physical identification and the date of the last procedure in your personal electronic account via the "My Identification" service.

Physical identification can be completed in person at the Pension Fund service center, via video conferencing at the territorial body of the fund, or through your personal account on the PFU web portal.

For citizens abroad, there is an opportunity to send the necessary documents by mail to the territorial body of the Pension Fund or upload scanned copies of documents via an electronic account using a qualified electronic signature.
