People's Deputy Oleksandr Kachny, who expresses a pro-Russian position and is a member of the "Platform for Life and Peace" group, continues to register property in the name of his wife Lyudmila Kachna. Despite the modest official wealth, the family owns significant real estate and uses luxury cars.
Luxury for a wife
According to the declaration for 2024, Kachny officially owns only one apartment in Kyiv with an area of 135.3 sq. m. Instead, his wife Lyudmila Kachna owns:
- Two land plots in Kyiv (593 sq. m and 622 sq. m).
- Two summer houses (161.2 sq. m and 121.2 sq. m).
- Two parking spaces.
Interestingly, despite her significant real estate, Lyudmila Kachna has been renting an apartment in Kyiv with an area of 136.2 sq. m since 2022.
Luxury cars – without ownership
The Kachny couple do not have their own cars, but they use expensive vehicles:
- Lyudmila Kachna drives a BMW X3 (2016), purchased for UAH 1.2 million in 2022. The car is registered to Vasyl Furdela, from whom the car is rented.
- Oleksandr Kachnyi rents a MERCEDES-BENZ S 560 (2017) from Vadym Kushnir, a former deputy of the Bila Tserkva City Council from Serhiy Tigipko's "Strong Ukraine" party.
Kushnir also worked as an assistant to people's deputies from the Party of Regions and was a confidant of Yuriy Boyko in the 2019 presidential election.
Finance: Closed income?
For 2023, Kachny declared:
- 721 thousand UAH salary.
- 238 thousand UAH pension.
- 600 thousand UAH in cash.
At the same time, his wife owns 50% of the authorized capital of LLC "Rostok" (value - 3,700 UAH), but her official income is not declared. She also has 180 thousand dollars in cash.
A long journey in politics
The ducks were replaced by several parties, starting with the Socialist Party and the Party of Regions:
- 2006 – Deputy of the Kyiv Regional Council from the SPU.
- 2010 – elected to the regional council from the "Party of Regions", headed it.
- 2014 – resigned after the Revolution of Dignity.
- 2015 – headed the Kyiv regional organization of the "Opposition Bloc".
- 2019 – became a People's Deputy from the OPP.
- 2022 – after the ban, the OPZH joined the group "Platform for Life and Peace".
An investigation is currently underway into his possible involvement in corruption schemes and hidden wealth.
