The Chairman of the Council of Reservists of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ivan Tymochko, stressed the need for employees of the Recruitment and Social Support Centers (RCS and SP) to comply with current legislation. He emphasized that any actions of military enlistment offices that do not have a legal basis are a direct violation.
According to Tymochko, employees of the Territorial Recruitment Centers are most often individuals with military experience on the front lines or with limited fitness for service in the regular army. Therefore, they must act in accordance with the procedures established by law, in particular, in serving summonses.
Thus, Tymochko noted, any cancellation of measures to serve summonses is possible only by making appropriate amendments to the legislation. Currently, there are no clear definitions and standards that apply to the military and to this area in general. Ukraine has long been trying to introduce certain standards, which will help avoid claims from society.
Will CCC raids disappear: Zelensky on new laws
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his desire that employees of territorial recruitment and social support centers refrain from "catching" people on the streets and serving them with summonses.
He emphasized the importance of comfort for the population, but noted that the procedures remain unchanged, so CCC employees are required to strictly comply with current legislation.
Therefore, disputes can only be avoided if new laws on mobilization are adopted.
As early as February 7, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine may consider the draft law on mobilization.
MP Oleksiy Honcharenko reminded that the first reading does not mean the adoption of the bill. If the bill is voted on in the first reading, amendments and voting will follow in the second reading. The final stage of the law's adoption is the signing of the law by the president.
In addition, the parliament shortened the deadline for submitting alternative proposals for the bill on strengthening mobilization No. 10449.
