In 2025, Ukraine will introduce a “Wounded Package” for the military

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the implementation of a new initiative to support wounded servicemen in 2025. This involves the issuance of special "Wounded Packages" that will be provided to defenders undergoing treatment in medical institutions.

Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Brigadier General of Justice Serhiy Melnyk, noted that the priority areas for 2025 remain improving the food system and introducing additional financial incentives for the military.

"These initiatives are only part of the systemic changes that we plan to implement. They are designed not only to support our military today, but also to create a foundation for their protection, development, and confident future," Melnyk noted.

Disability certification system reform

Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated November 15, No. 1338, approved new approaches to the process of assessing a person's daily functioning, which will be implemented from January 1, 2025.

This reform involves the introduction of electronic referral to the expert assessment team.

The Ministry of Health noted that thanks to the electronic system, the patient's path to receiving a decision will be shorter. Important procedures for many are also simplified: establishing or extending disability, as well as updating an individual rehabilitation program.
