In Chernihiv region, employees of the State Bureau of Investigation, together with the SBU, detained a prosecutor from one of the district prosecutor's offices of the region while accepting a bribe.

According to the investigation, the prosecutor demanded $2,500 for the closure of criminal proceedings and assistance in avoiding liability for illegal logging within one of the settlements of the Chernihiv region. The detention took place immediately after the transfer of the money - law enforcement officers recorded the fact of receiving an illegal benefit.
