A scheme to forge HIV tests to avoid mobilization was exposed in Dnipro

In Dnipro, law enforcement officers exposed officials and doctors of the military medical commission (MMC) of one of the district territorial recruitment centers (RTCC) and other medical institutions who falsified the results of HIV tests. Their clients were men who sought to avoid mobilization. The cost of such a “service” was 10 thousand US dollars. This is reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

It is reported that VLK doctors falsified the results of blood tests for HIV. After that, they entered false data into medical documents and the information system “Monitoring of Socially Significant Diseases”.

Such manipulations allowed “sick” men to withdraw from military service and cross the state border of Ukraine without hindrance

– the National Police said.

They also added that the "service" of deregistration cost $10,000.

Law enforcement officers conducted 19 searches at the places of registration and residence of the suspects, as well as in their offices and vehicles. They seized, in particular, computer equipment, medical documentation, and other items that confirm the owners' involvement in the transactions.

As reported, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 3 of Article 362 (Unauthorized actions with information processed in electronic computers, automated systems, computer networks or stored on media of such information, committed by a person who has the right to access it), Part 3 of Article 368 (Acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an illegal benefit by an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The defendants face imprisonment for a term of up to 10 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years, with confiscation of property.
