A 24-year-old Kyiv resident contacted the police to report the disappearance of his BMW. As it turned out, the day before, he had left the vehicle for maintenance at a car wash. Within a few hours, the owner learned that his car had been involved in a traffic accident.
Law enforcement officers determined that a car wash employee was involved in the illegal seizure. Having the keys to the car, he got behind the wheel in the evening and went for a ride through the streets of Kyiv.
While driving down Naberezhno-Lugovaya Street, the young man lost control and crashed into a lamppost. Fortunately, he was not injured. The car was seriously damaged.
A breathalyzer test showed a blood alcohol level of 0.98 ppm.
