In the Holosiivskyi district of the capital, police have begun checking a report about restricted access to shelter in a residential building. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv police.
According to law enforcement, during monitoring of social media, a complaint was discovered that residents of one of the high-rise buildings had partially blocked a shelter, preventing access to it by other residents. The situation is said to have caused concern among residents, especially in the face of the constant threat of air attacks.
An investigative and operational team has already arrived at the scene to investigate the circumstances of the incident. The police are investigating who exactly restricted access to the shelter and whether this was a violation of the law.
Law enforcement officers urge citizens not to obstruct access to protective structures during air raids, as this may pose a danger to people's lives and health. If the facts of illegal blocking of shelters are confirmed, the perpetrators may be held administratively or criminally liable.
At the same time, the police remind that ensuring free access to shelters is the responsibility of balance holders and local authorities.
