In Kyiv, law enforcement officers have uncovered an attempt to illegally seize a plot of land measuring over one hectare in the center of the capital. This is the territory of the state-owned enterprise "Olexandr Dovzhenko National Film Studio", which is owned by the Kyiv City Council.
According to the investigation, a group of individuals developed a fraudulent scheme to obtain land worth about 60 million hryvnias. The perpetrators produced fake certificates, technical passports, and a land management project, registered ownership of a non-existent building, created a new company, and executed acceptance and transfer certificates for the "property." They also involved a controlled land management engineer in the implementation of the plan.
The purpose of the scam was to obtain the right to rent a plot of land free of charge in the center of the capital.
However, the scammers were unable to complete their plan. The land plot was seized, and three people have already been notified of suspicion.
They are charged with organizing an attempted fraud on a particularly large scale, as well as forgery of official documents by a group of individuals. The sanctions of the articles provide for many years of imprisonment.
The investigation is ongoing, and the court will soon impose preventive measures on the suspects.
