Kyiv law enforcement officers have detained eight members of an organized drug gang that was involved in the production and distribution of drugs in Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine. The total value of the seized illegal substances is estimated at 2 million hryvnias.
According to police, the organizer of the criminal activity was a 32-year-old resident of Kyiv, who involved his 25-year-old roommate in the illegal business. The couple independently manufactured amphetamine and psilocybin, after which the drugs reached consumers through an established distribution network.
During the searches, police seized large quantities of narcotics, equipment for their production and packaging, as well as documents, bank cards, and means of communication used in the criminal scheme.
Law enforcement officers are continuing their investigation to identify all involved individuals and the sources of supply of raw materials. The suspects are charged with organizing the illegal production, storage, and sale of narcotics in large quantities.
