Former People's Deputy from the OPZH Vasyl Nimchenko was robbed in Kyiv

In the capital, a member of parliament from the banned opposition party, Vasyl Nimchenko, was robbed. The incident occurred in a parking lot near a supermarket in the Darnytsia district, media reports.

According to sources, Nimchenko left the cart with groceries unattended. The cart also contained his bag with documents and money. When the MP returned, the bag was gone.

Law enforcement officers quickly identified the suspect. He turned out to be a taxi driver, who was detained on the spot.

Vasyl Nimchenko is known as one of the former associates of the Opposition Platform – For Life. It was previously reported that he receives the largest deputy pension among Ukrainian people's deputies.
