In Kyiv, two men with an axe and a gun tried to "knock out" a salary for a friend

Two men were detained in the capital after threatening a cafe administrator with a gun and a kitchen hatchet and demanding payment of a debt owed to their friend. The attackers acted in the style of street "collectors", but ended up in handcuffs right at the scene.

This was reported by the Kyiv police, Informant reports.

The incident occurred in a cafe in Solomyanskyi district. According to law enforcement officers, the woman worked as a cook for several days, but received less money than she expected - about 2,000 UAH. In order to "return" this money, she turned to two male acquaintances for help.

Armed with a gun and a kitchen axe with a meat mallet, the "good guys" visited the establishment. Threatening the administrator, they forced him to give them 800 hryvnias, after which they planned to leave the scene.

However, the cafe employee was not confused and managed to press the panic button. The police arrived promptly and detained the attackers red-handed. Both have already been reported on suspicion under Part 2 of Article 189 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (extortion committed by a group of persons in a prior conspiracy).

They face up to 5 years in prison.
