In Petrivska Correctional Colony No. 49 in the Kirovohrad region, during an inspection of a parcel that arrived in the name of one of the convicts, employees of the institution discovered prohibited items.
According to the colony administration, four Wi-Fi routers were hidden in food products — in particular, in packages of croissants. The use and storage of such devices by convicts is prohibited in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine and the Rules of Internal Regulations of Penal Institutions.
The discovered items were seized in accordance with the established procedure. This fact is being investigated, and the materials have been transferred for further response in accordance with the law.
The colony administration emphasized that it will continue to take a set of measures to block the channels of entry of prohibited items, as well as to ensure the proper level of security and law and order.
