In Poltava region, a pre-trial investigation has been completed into a minor resident of Kremenchuk who, with the support of enemy special services, set fire to a military SUV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (ASU) and tried to destroy another one. This crime became one of the vivid examples of how Russian propaganda and special services actively use even young people for subversive activities in Ukraine.
In August 2024, the girl came under the influence of Russian special services when she began to actively look for ways to quickly make money through social networks and Telegram channels, which have become popular among traitors. Under the influence of Russian curators, she took up the destruction of Ukrainian equipment. One of such attempts ended with the arson of an SUV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which returned from the front line after completing a combat mission.
According to investigators, the girl doused the car with a flammable mixture and set it on fire. She documented all her actions on her mobile phone and sent the video file to Russia. However, this was not her only crime. According to the investigation, she tried to set fire to another military vehicle, but, fortunately, her plan was not successful.
The Security Service of Ukraine has completed the investigation and referred the case to court. The minor offender has been charged with obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine , as well as with an unfinished attempt to commit a crime . The crimes were committed in a preliminary conspiracy with a group of persons, and at the moment her actions are being considered under the following articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- Part 2 of Article 28 Part 1 of Article 114-1 (obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during a special period),
- Part 3 of Article 15 Part 2 of Article 28 Part 1 of Article 114-1 (unfinished attempt to commit this crime).
This case highlights not only the betrayal, but also the large-scale manipulations carried out by Russian intelligence services to use the youngest and most naive to carry out their subversive plans on the territory of Ukraine. It also reminds us of the need for vigilance in matters of information security and protection from the influence of hostile forces.
The trial, which is set to begin soon, will be an important milestone in determining the responsibility of this minor, who was used as a tool in aggression against her own country.
