The Security Service of Ukraine has detained an FSB agent who organized an “observation post” in the attic of a high-rise building in Mykolaiv to correct enemy attacks on the regional center. As the SBU reports on its Telegram channel, the traitor, who turned out to be a former teacher at a local university, was recruited through his anti-Ukrainian activities on social networks.
According to the investigation, the man worked for Russia, trying to transmit important information to facilitate strikes on the positions of Ukrainian forces. To do this, he installed a hidden video camera in the attic of the apartment building where he lived. The main purpose of his activities was to identify the combat positions of Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile systems and mobile fire groups, as well as track weapons moving to the front line.
During the search, a mobile phone, a video camera, and a flash drive containing evidence of his treasonous activities were seized from the detainee. In accordance with Ukrainian legislation, he has been charged under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason during martial law). The suspect is currently in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The detention was the result of carefully planned measures by the SBU to ensure the security of Ukrainian military positions and preserve the integrity of the defense forces. The detained FSB agent may face new charges for his criminal activities.
