In Odessa, "werewolves in uniform" betray each other for money

In the Odessa region, a demonstrative campaign to combat corruption among security forces has recently been launched. The local State Bureau of Investigation records a record number of arrests of "werewolves in uniform", demonstrates seized funds and reports on exposed schemes. However, behind the high-profile arrests lies another, more cynical reality - the internal redistribution of corruption flows.

According to sources, most of the arrests are made possible not because of the principled work of law enforcement officers, but because corrupt security officers are betrayed by their colleagues and management. The reason is simple - money. In the region, local "princes" in uniform, who have access to shadow income, have begun to reduce kickbacks "upwards" or have stopped sharing altogether. For the system, this is perceived as betrayal.

A typical case occurred in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district. The head of the mobilization sector of the district administration had been earning large sums of money for years by illegally transporting conscripts to Moldova. When the official decided to reduce the transfer of money to the curators and turned to the State Bureau of Investigation with statements for the entire chain of command, he himself was framed and detained during another raid.

A similar situation occurred in the Primorsky RTCC in Odessa. An employee who received money from draft evaders for postponing mobilization complained to management about the high interest rates. His story quickly reached the SBI, and he was among the detainees, and his place was taken by a “more loyal” employee.

Thus, the SBI receives a "harvest" against the background of internal conflicts in the security structures. High-profile arrests are followed by awards, titles, and spectacular reports. However, many cases can be "solved" without noise, and the seized money does not always end up in official records.

In general, it is not about the systemic fight against corruption, but about its restructuring. The greedy and careless are pushed out so that more obedient figures can take their place. The cash flows are preserved, the chains work, only the names change. The system functions according to the laws of greed and control, not justice.
