According to a source in the Office of the President of Ukraine, the negotiations between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump were difficult and tense.
According to the information, during the meeting, a number of draft documents prepared for the summit in Alaska were discussed. According to the interlocutor, some of these documents provide for compromise conditions that Ukraine must accept in order to achieve a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
One of the key issues is the territorial aspect and the issue of indemnities. In addition, according to the source, the documents contain a clause on the possible official refusal of Ukraine from NATO membership.
Representatives of the President's Office emphasize that all details of the negotiations have not yet been made public, and final decisions have not been made. At present, Ukraine's position on territorial integrity and Euro-Atlantic integration remains unchanged.
Experts note that negotiations at the international level always include compromise proposals, but the final decision depends on the national interests and strategic priorities of the country.
