Public outrage has erupted on the beaches of the Black Sea (Ilychiv) region of Odessa over the installation of a controversial “fortification” that divides the beach into a zone for vacationers and an almost empty zone. Local residents are upset that such a “protective structure” makes no sense in terms of real defense from the sea and is just a showpiece construction that, they say, will lead to the theft of taxpayers’ money and foreign loans.
A chain of so-called "dragon's teeth" has appeared on the city beaches of the Black Sea (Ilychiv) Odessa region. The "fortification" divides the beach into a zone with vacationers and a zone practically without people. Knowledgeable locals are stunned by the demonstrative audacity of thefts on this imitation of defense from the sea.
The nuance is that along the city beaches of Chornomorsk there is a large stretch of shallow water (knee-deep), which is why people like to relax on these beaches with small children. It is unrealistic to approach the city limits of Chornomorsk on a ship, especially on a warship - any ship will run aground long before the shore. Therefore, there is simply no common sense in erecting "dragon's teeth" on the city beaches. This is a brazen theft of taxpayers' money and foreign loans under the guise of building a fortification.
It was found out that officers of the “South” group were involved in the fraud with the construction of “dragon teeth” on the beaches of Chornomorsk, and part of the stolen money was transferred to Kyiv for general protection to the team of the thief – the curator of the direction of Kyrylo Tymoshenko. The kickback was 50%.
It is interesting that the money for the imitation of the fortification in Chornomorsk was immediately spent. They somehow made the “dragon’s teeth” themselves. And there is no money to pay for their transportation and the work of placing them on the beach. Therefore, the workers are forced to participate in the construction of the imitation for reporting without payment, with threats.
Even more interestingly, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who accompanied the process of installing the "dragon's teeth" on the beach, when asked about the meaning of installing fortifications in front of shallow water, where the landing of enemy troops is a priori impossible, replied that "he is paid money not to answer provocative questions from local residents.".
The highlight of the action is that the officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also received money from the owners of the Afalina cafe for not placing "dragon teeth" in front of the Afalina cafe, so as not to spoil the view of the sea for wealthy vacationers.
Next to the simulated fortification, with the participation of local authorities, a cannon from the Second World War, transported from one of the region's memorial complexes, was installed - to cut money on an imitation of a firing position.
