A 21-year-old resident of Kalush was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in prison for stealing a bicycle from a 14-year-old boy. The court found him guilty of robbery, committed repeatedly, under martial law.
As prosecutors established, the incident occurred in July 2024 in the entrance of one of the houses in Kalush. A 14-year-old boy was carrying his bicycle on his way home. At that moment, the attacker grabbed him by the head, hit him and snatched the bicycle from the child's hands. After that, the man fled the scene.
The court, taking into account all the circumstances of the case, sentenced the man to 7 years and 6 months in prison. The sentence will enter into force after the deadline for filing an appeal has expired.
