According to the investigation, a woman from the city of Novokakhovskaya urban community supported the Russian invaders at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation and offered them her assistance in the war against Ukraine.
During the fake plebiscite, she was part of the Russian “election committee” in the then-occupied village of Vesele, Kakhovka District. Together with the armed invaders, she went from house to house and urged local residents to “vote for accession” of the region to the Russian Federation .
After the local community was liberated, the collaborator left for Kryvyi Rih, where she tried to hide from justice. While in the city, she also received documents for social benefits and housing.
As a result of stabilization measures, SBU officers exposed the perpetrator, located her, and detained her. She faces up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
