In Khmelnytskyi region, law enforcement officers conducted a large-scale special operation, as a result of which they managed to neutralize a criminal group that organized the production and sale of drugs in several regions. This was reported by the press service of the National Police.
According to the investigation, the organizer of the drug business was a resident of Khmelnytskyi region, who already had a criminal record. He involved accomplices from different regions of Ukraine in the illegal activity. The group purchased amphetamine in wholesale batches in Kyiv — from 100 to 300 grams — or produced it independently in apartments.
In addition, in the city of Polonne, Khmelnytskyi region, the organizer set up a full-fledged drug laboratory for growing cannabis. There, the technological process was conducted, plants were grown, the “harvest” was collected, and it was transferred for packaging and sale.
The sale of drugs was carried out in three ways: through "bookmarks", from hand to hand, and through postal shipments to other regions of the country.
The operation to expose the criminals was the result of joint work of the Department of Strategic Investigations and investigators of the Khmelnytskyi region police with the support of the SBU, the State Security Service and the KORD special unit. A total of 46 searches were carried out in Khmelnytskyi, Kyiv regions and the capital. 10 people were detained, including the organizer.
During the searches, laboratory equipment, cannabis bushes and seeds, packaged amphetamine, weapons, grenades, cars, as well as over 1.8 million hryvnias in national and foreign currency were seized.
The suspects in the case were declared suspects. Nine were taken into custody, and another was left under night house arrest. They are accused of:

Parts 2 and 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - illegal production, storage, sale of narcotic drugs,

Part 1 of Article 317 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - organization or maintenance of places for the production of drugs.
The suspect faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property for the crime. The Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor's Office is responsible for the procedural management of the case.
