The Khmelnytskyi City District Court has sentenced a conscript who evaded mobilization to four years and two months in prison. This was reported with reference to court records.
According to the case materials, the incident occurred on February 29, when the accused arrived at the territorial recruiting center (TCK) to register for military service. After passing a military medical commission, which declared him fit for military service, the man received a "combat" summons for training. However, on the appointed day, he did not appear for the mobilization.
During the court hearing, the conscript admitted his guilt and sincerely repented of his actions, explaining his actions by his desire to rest before being sent to war. However, in the opinion of the court, the correction of the accused is possible only in conditions of isolation from society.
The court also took into account that in July of this year the man had already been found guilty of illegal acquisition, possession and sale of the psychotropic substance PVP, for which he received a real sentence. Taking into account this previous sentence, the court imposed an additional sentence on the accused in the form of confiscation of all his property, except for his home.
The accused is currently in custody awaiting sentencing.
