In Truskavets, Lviv region, a group of teenagers committed hooligan acts against an 18-year-old disabled boy, filming their abuse on video. The incident occurred on March 19 at around 8:00 p.m. on Mazepa Street. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police of the region.
According to preliminary data, four girls and one boy aged 11 to 14 participated in the crime. All of them are residents of Truskavets. The teenagers posted a video of their actions on one of the social networks, which caused a wide public outcry.
The police have already identified all participants in the incident and have initiated criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 296 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The perpetrators face a penalty of up to five years of restriction of liberty or imprisonment for a term of up to four years.
A pre-trial investigation is currently underway. Law enforcement officers are interviewing the children in the presence of their parents and a psychologist, and are also establishing all the circumstances of the incident. It is known that the victim boy suffered moral and psychological trauma.
The incident has sparked outrage among local residents and on social media, with many users demanding harsh punishment for the perpetrators and more attention to the problem of bullying among minors.
Law enforcement officers urge parents to be attentive to the behavior of their children, and also remind that bullying and violence are unacceptable in any form. The investigation is ongoing, and appropriate decisions will be made in the near future regarding further actions against the teenagers who committed the offense.
