The Ukrainian Heritage Monitoring Lab (НеMo) team, specialized in monitoring Ukrainian heritage, has successfully created a 3D model of the Museum of General-Coroner of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) Roman Shukhevych in Bilogorshcha, Lviv region. Unfortunately, the museum was completely destroyed during the Russian attack on January 1.
The team emphasized that on the day of the attack, January 1, their experts were at the scene and conducted documentation. Yurko Gonek, Andriy Yamelynets, and Vasyl Shchutyak from the Institute of Geoinformation Systems directly created a 3D model (georeferenced point cloud) of the destroyed museum, including its surrounding area, using the photogrammetric method.
HeMo added that in 2021, the Skeiron team made a 3D model of the entire museum of the UPA General-Coroner Roman Shukhevych. It shows the building plan, its section, individual rooms, and exhibits. The HeMo monitoring team believes that these models together can help with the museum's future restoration.
On January 1, the Roman Shukhevych Museum on Bilogorshcha in Lviv was almost completely destroyed by the wreckage of an enemy “Shahid.” The fire, which broke out as a result of the previous attack, was successfully extinguished by rescuers.
