The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has assessed the increased level of danger due to difficult weather conditions. Bad weather is expected almost throughout the country, affecting transport connections and other aspects of life.
According to weather forecasters, bad weather will rage throughout the country, except for Transcarpathia.
"On December 17, in Ukraine, except for Transcarpathia, wind gusts of 15-20 m/s," the report says.
Because of this, danger level I, yellow, has been declared.
Weather in Ukraine December 17
Today in Ukraine there will be cloudy weather. Moderate rains are expected. In the Carpathians, in the east and northeast of the country, precipitation will be with wet snow, and in the southern regions there will be light rain in places.
The wind will be predominantly westerly, 7-12 m/s. In Ukraine, except for Transcarpathia, its gusts will reach 15-20 m/s.
During the day, the air will warm up to +3°…+8°, and in the south it will be as high as +7°…+12°.
Weather in Kyiv
Wind gusts of 15-18 m/s are expected in the Kyiv region today. Due to the bad weather, the capital has declared a level 1 danger level.
"Weather conditions may complicate the work of energy, construction, utility companies, and transport," forecasters warn.
The temperature in the capital today will be +5°…+7°.
