Frosty weather with light winds and mostly partly cloudy skies is expected in Ukraine this coming weekend, forecaster Ihor Kibalchych reported in a comment for "Meteoprog".
According to him, the synoptic situation will be influenced by an anticyclone, so calm weather with almost no precipitation will prevail throughout the country. At the same time, the air temperature will drop significantly at night, and ice will remain on the roads and sidewalks.

It will be dry and frosty in the western regions. Fog and frost are possible in places at night and in the morning. The temperature at night will be -13…-18 °C, in some places up to -20 °C, during the day -4…+1 °C is expected.
In the north of the country, partly cloudy and cold weather without precipitation is forecast. Wind 5–10 m/s. At night, the temperature will drop to -15…-20 °C, in places to -22 °C, during the day it will be -2…-7 °C.
No precipitation is expected in the central regions, partly cloudy weather will persist. At night -8…-13 °C, in some places -14…-18 °C, during the day -5…+1 °C.
In the south on Saturday, partly cloudy weather is expected. No significant precipitation, only in the south of Odessa region snow and sleet are possible. Temperature at night -3…-8 °C, during the day -2…+3 °C. Wind 7–12 m/s.
In the east of the country, it will be partly cloudy and without precipitation. At night -9…-14 °C, in Kharkiv region in places -15…-17 °C, during the day 0…-5 °C.

On Sunday, light snow and sleet are expected in western Ukraine at night. Precipitation in the form of sleet, rain and drizzle is possible during the day. At night -5…-10 °C, in Transcarpathia about 0 °C, during the day -1…+4 °C.
Light snow is possible in places in the northern regions. At night -13…-18 °C, during the day -4…+1 °C.

When will the weather warm up?
Earlier, weather forecaster Natalka Didenko reported that noticeable warming is expected in Ukraine starting February 23. According to her, the long-awaited thaw will come with the beginning of the new week.
Thus, after a frosty weekend, Ukrainians can expect a gradual increase in temperature.
