The mobilization situation in Ukraine is sparking new discussions, particularly regarding the rights and obligations of employees of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers (TRSC). Of serious concern is the fact that citizens often obstruct TRSC employees performing their duties under martial law.
Sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Sokolov, in his interview with the publication "Your City", stated that the employees of the CCC should have expanded powers, including the right to use force. According to him, the situation when CCC employees are attacked is unacceptable, and the need for the right to use physical force and even firearms is a matter of safety and efficiency in the performance of their duties.
Sokolov explained that CCC employees face aggression from citizens who often do not admit their guilt. This creates conflict situations in which the employees themselves are often blamed. Sokolov emphasized that CCC employees are in difficult conditions and have the right to protection, so they should be able to use physical force if necessary.
Especially in the context of war, Sokolov stressed that attacks on servicemen, even if they are in the TCC, are unacceptable. He also noted that this issue requires attention at the legislative level, as military duties must be supported by the right to self-defense for those performing them.
At the same time, other changes in the legislation related to mobilization are being discussed. In particular, it concerns a new procedure for booking and canceling deferrals, as well as the possible mobilization of women. Andriy Savenko, lieutenant colonel of the Main Intelligence Directorate, expressed the opinion that if a person has not visited the military registration and enlistment office in 10 years of war, then his desire to serve should not be in question.
