In Ukraine, Reserve+ will add an online deferral for parents of children with disabilities

Ukraine is preparing to expand digital opportunities for those liable for military service. The Ministry of Defense announced the launch of a new feature in the “Reserve+” application, which will allow parents of children with disabilities of any age to apply for a deferment from mobilization online.

The tool is currently in beta testing. Both parents of minor children with disabilities and those whose children have already reached the age of majority can join. To do this, it is enough to fill out an online form using a special link, without certificates and visits to territorial recruitment centers.

How the new feature will work

  • the user submits an electronic request in the application;

  • the system automatically checks data in state registers;

  • After confirming the grounds, information about the postponement appears in the electronic military document.

The Ministry of Defense notes that the entire process takes only a few hours. Such a digital opportunity should simplify the procedure and relieve the burden on military registration and enlistment offices, as a significant part of the documentation will now be done online.
