A sharp deterioration in the weather is expected in Ukraine in early February - forecasters predict snowfall, frost, and gale force winds. The western, northern, and central regions will be hit hardest.

According to weather forecasters, an active atmospheric front will arrive in Ukraine on February 5, bringing snowfall to the western, northern, and central regions. Precipitation is also expected in the eastern and southern regions, but it will be less intense.
The air temperature will drop:
- West – up to -8 °C,
- North, center, east – up to -4 °C,
- South – up to -2 °C.

The next day, February 6, snowfalls will continue, but the central regions will be spared. The most severe frosts will be in the Carpathians, where the temperature will drop to -12 °C. In other regions:
- North – up to -3 °C,
- East and center – up to -3 °C,
- South – up to -2 °C.
In addition to snow, forecasters are warning of gale-force winds (10-15 m/s), which could cause blizzards and difficult road conditions.

After two days of blizzards, the situation will improve and temperatures will start to rise on February 7. At the same time, ice formation is possible in regions with the most snow.
Forecasters advise to be careful on the roads and monitor weather forecast updates.
As a reminder, on January 31, Ukraine will remain warm for winter. In most regions, the daytime temperature will rise to +7…+12°C, and in the south of the country – to +15°C. However, there will be rain in the western and northern regions, and fog is possible in the central regions.
