In Vinnytsia region, there was a scandal at the military commission: a young man who was only 148 cm tall was mobilized despite medical reports of unfitness for service. According to the young man, the doctors at the military medical commission actually demanded $5,000 for the paperwork.

When the young man refused to pay, doctors “adjusted” his height to 150 cm and sent him to the training unit, ignoring previous findings of unfitness. This practice calls into question the transparency and legality of mobilization procedures in the region.
Human rights activists and local journalists are already drawing attention to violations of the rights of mobilized people and corruption schemes that may exist in military commissariats.
Military commissions emphasize that the law provides for strict eligibility criteria, but in practice they are often ignored. The case is being investigated by local law enforcement agencies.
