The incident occurred on July 12 in the village of Dubov, Kovel district, Volyn region. During the verification of military registration documents, a serviceman of the territorial recruitment center was attacked. This was reported by the Volyn regional CCC and SP.
According to official information, a man who was stopped for a check suddenly hit a CCC representative with a shovel — twice: in the face and on the hands. After that, the attacker disappeared from the scene.
The victim was taken to the trauma center of the Kovel Medical Center. Doctors diagnosed him with:

closed oblique fracture of the main phalanx of the first finger of the right hand without displacement;

a stab wound to the right cheek.
The attacker has been identified. He has been charged under Part 2 of Article 350 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional assault on an official in connection with the performance of his official duties).
The CCC called on citizens not to resort to violence against representatives of the defense forces, reminding that such actions are classified as criminal offenses.
