The EU will search for property of Ukrainians purchased with "corruption funds"

As our sources report, with Donald Trump's return to the Oval Office, the Europeans will begin a detailed review of all major real estate and business purchases by Ukrainian citizens, starting in February 2022.

According to sources, the inspections are related to the awareness of European structures about the high level of corruption in Ukraine and fears that funds used by Ukrainian citizens abroad may have a "corrupt origin.".

Since the monitoring includes agreements concluded by Ukrainians starting from February 2022, we can assume that they will look for waste of military assistance provided to Ukraine to protect against Russian aggression.

Thus, according to sources, since the beginning of the week, some European notaries have begun to be more interested in "primary documentation and ask additional questions about the origin of funds" when Ukrainian citizens draw up real estate purchase agreements (both residential and commercial).

We remind you that at the end of December 2024, Donald Trump hinted at large-scale audits of the targeted use of military aid provided by the United States and stated that "Ukraine must account for every dollar of American aid."
