A serviceman from one of the district territorial recruitment and social support centers was detained in Zaporizhia on suspicion of premeditated murder. This was officially reported on December 8 by the Zaporizhia Regional CCC and SP, confirming information that appeared in local media the day before.
According to media reports, on the evening of December 7, the body of a man born in 1968 with signs of violent death was found on Pivnichne Shosse Street. According to preliminary information, a serviceman of the Central Military District born in 1983 may have been involved in the crime. He was detained hot on his trail.
The CCC strongly condemned the actions of which their employee is suspected, emphasizing that such behavior has nothing to do with the honor and duties of a military serviceman.
The statement states that the military uniform is not an indulgence from responsibility, but on the contrary - in a moral sense it is an aggravating factor. The center emphasized that the detainee is currently in the Zaporizhia Pre-trial Detention Center, and the institution is fully cooperating with the investigation and is interested in an objective investigation.
The National Police of Zaporizhia Oblast reported that criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - premeditated murder. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
