After the high-profile murder of Zaporizhzhia City Council official Maksym Denshchyk, the city never introduced an “interception plan” to promptly apprehend the killer.
According to eyewitnesses, immediately after the murder, all mobile checkpoints and patrols in the city, staffed by CCC and police officers, who conducted operational control and checked the documents of male citizens, also stopped working for a day.
As a reminder, Maksym Denshchyk was shot dead by a hitman near the entrance of his house, after a conflict with the head of the Zaporizhzhia OVA, Ivan Fedorov. Shortly before the murder, Maksym Denshchyk posted on his Facebook page , where he reported on “threats of reprisal” from Ivan Fedorov.
Ivan Fedorov, commenting on the situation stated that he “held a meeting with law enforcement agencies and took the investigation of the murder “under special control.”
As we can see, as a result of the so-called "meeting" between Ivan Fedorov and the city's security forces, no interception plan was implemented, which allowed the killer to leave the crime scene without the risk of being detained.
