Unfortunately, we are completely dependent on supplies of Western military aid, and the enemy is trying to exhaust our air defense, while depleting our reserves, while we cannot stop the attacks with smart bombs, which are massively used on the front line.
The reserves of shells for the Ukrainian air defense will last until March.
The New York Times also writes about this, citing American officials.
“Ukrainian forces are exhausted , lacking weapons and ammunition. Air defense systems, which are crucial for protecting civilians from Russian missiles, are steadily being depleted by repeated bombings,” the article also states.
It should be noted that the shortage of missiles for air defense systems will be an even bigger problem for Ukraine than the shortage of shells. Because shells can be replaced to some extent by drones. But there is nothing to shoot down enemy missiles except air defense systems.
