A citizen of Uzbekistan, who from 2018 to 2024 killed 11 people, was sentenced to life imprisonment in Ukraine. His victims were mostly homeless, as well as the saleswoman of flowers, whose murder became the last crime, after which the man was detained.
According to the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, the serial killer had no permanent residence. In six years, he deprived the lives of three women and eight men. A horrific series of murders was completed by a particularly cruel murder in January 2024: the man entered the client in the flower shop in the Holosiivskyi district of the capital and caused the saleswoman more than 30 knife wounds. After that he took her gold jewelry and fled.
It was this murder that became key - the man was detained promptly. After the detention, he confessed to the crime and began to talk about ten more similar murders. Most of the victims were homeless, whom the man met, spent time together, often drinking alcohol, and later killed.
"The bodies of the killed were found in a state when it was extremely difficult to establish death circumstances," the prosecutor's office noted. In addition to the 11 completed murders, the man also tried to kill another person, but did not bring his intention to the end.
During the investigation, the accused described in detail every crime, hoping that cooperation with the investigation would soften his punishment. However, the court found him guilty of all incriminated crimes and imposed the highest punishment - life imprisonment.
Currently, the convicted person is in custody.
