Hlib Overchuk, 25, the eldest son of Ukrainian singer Iryna Bilyk, recently shared news about his life during the war and his efforts to support Ukraine. The musician, who now lives in Spain, took part in a rally in support of Ukraine held in Barcelona. The event was timed to mark 1,000 days since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and was attended by hundreds of caring Ukrainians and foreigners.
Hlib Overchuk, along with other participants in the action, held posters reminding of the crimes committed by the Russian occupiers in Ukraine, and also called for the release of Ukrainian prisoners of war, who have been held in inhuman conditions in Russia for over two years. The protesters also advocated for increased funding and military assistance to Ukraine in the fight against the aggressor. On the central streets of Barcelona, during the action, patriotic slogans were heard, and the participants sang the Ukrainian anthem.

Overchuk actively supports his native country, posting links to collections for the needs of Ukrainian defenders on social networks. However, in addition to public activities, he is also involved in music. Hlib is a drummer in the Spanish band Emissary, which was founded only a year ago, and is one of its co-founders. The band is actively developing, and Overchuk continues his musical career in Spain.
