It is planned to create an interactive map of affordable housing for internally displaced persons in Ukraine. This map will be compiled on the basis of an information database on real estate objects. For this purpose, it is planned to conduct an all-Ukrainian inventory of real estate of all forms of ownership that can be used for housing by internally displaced persons. The corresponding draft law will be submitted to parliament for consideration in the near future.
This was announced by Pavlo Frolov, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Budget, a People's Deputy from the "Servant of the People" faction, and Chairman of the Temporary Special Commission on the Protection of the Rights of Internally Displaced Persons, after a meeting with the management of the State Property Fund.
According to his statement, the new bill provides for an audit and survey of all real estate where displaced persons may live. The result of this systematic inventory should be a public interactive map.
"We plan that this information base will be presented in the form of an interactive map. It will be filled with objects based on the results of the inventory and survey. This will allow users to see on the map the location of the objects, their condition, as well as the number of people who can live in each of the objects," the parliamentarian explained.
The interactive map will be available to internally displaced persons, who will have the opportunity to choose their place of residence, as well as state authorities, local governments, as well as individuals and legal entities who will communicate with international humanitarian and charitable organizations.
“It is planned to submit such a bill for consideration by the parliament during the next meeting of the Temporary Special Commission on the Protection of the Rights of Internally Displaced Persons and Other Persons Affected by Russian Aggression,” Pavlo Frolov concluded.
