Ukraine and Italy have signed an important agreement on Italy's contribution to the Energy Support Fund for Ukraine in the amount of 13 million euros. According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, the agreement was signed on February 28. This contribution from Italy will be an important step in strengthening the energy stability of Ukraine, which continues to face constant attacks from Russian troops. The Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Roman Andarak, thanked Italy for the support, noting that these funds will allow the purchase of necessary equipment and help restore damaged energy facilities.
The Ukraine Energy Support Fund has become an important instrument for providing international assistance in the energy sector. It has so far received pledges of over €1 billion from the public and private sectors of over 30 countries, including EU Member States, the UK and the US. Thanks to this fund, Ukrainian energy companies can quickly rebuild energy infrastructure damaged by attacks by Russian forces.
